The Reception

Your Day at Abbey Farm Weddings

We are reassuringly on hand through the planning stages of your wedding, on set up day and throughout your wedding day for as much or as little as you wish us to be!

To help your initial planning please find some example timings below


1pm Guests arrive and park at Abbey Farm

2pm Service at St Leonard’s, Kirkstead. Guests may walk or drive to the Church. Or on site ceremony

2.45pm Photos at the Church or in the Abbey Farm Weddings' gardens

3pm Stroll back along our unique woodland walk or past the beautiful Abbey Ruin with your immediate wedding party, all your guests or just the two of you! Alternatively the bride and groom can be collected by us in “Betsy” our very own Vintage Series 1 Land Rover


3.15pm Chilled Arrival drinks served in The Orchard, The Courtyard or Stone Barn Bar, Champagne and canapés in the gardens or Mulled wine next to the Log burner in the under floor heated Oak Barn or Old Granary Barn

4.15pm Seated for wedding breakfast in The Oak Barn or Old Granary Barn

4.45pm Wedding Breakfast followed by Speeches and toast to the new Mr & Mrs / DJ or Band set up in Oak Barn or Old Granary Barn

7pm Evening Guests arrive

8pm Cake Cutting, followed by First Dance

9pm Evening food then dancing, dancing, dancing!

12 Midnight Evening draws to a close
